What a great question!  We strongly believe faith is in three parts, head, heart, and hands.  What you do with faith is so important (hands)!  We have opportunities for our church to interact, support, and come along side others who reach out to those in need.  We currently partner with Operation Christmas Child and Better Together 702.  Better Together 702 feeds the homeless twice a week and you can always find several people from Journey helping out by serving those in need!

Right now our service leans a little more into contemporary with music. Our worship leader typically leads us in songs you may hear on Klove or similar Christian radio stations.  Most of our songs are from the past 10-20 years, however we may sing a traditional hymn as well.  Our pastor’s style is unique and not stuffy!

Jesus said, “as often as you do this”.  So he didn’t give us an exact number of times to do it, but we take it to me, “often enough to be meaningful.”  Traditionally, it is done once a month, but we may decide to celebrate it more often than that, depending on the situation, style of service, and church season (i.e. Easter).  Right now we celebrate Holy Communion during the first worship service of the month.

Our intent is to always share from the Bible.  While there may be some overlap between something happening in current affairs, they will never, ever, be center to who we are as a faith community.  We aren’t here to tell you how you should vote or respond to political issues.  We are here to teach you the scriptures, grow in faith with you, and let you respond to political issues on your own.

Let’s be honest, there are a ton of churches in the Las Vegas and Henderson areas.  Most of them are well established churches with millions of dollars invested into their facilities and they seem to offer much more than a new church could offer in a decade.

So why start one?  Because, we believe, new churches have a unique role in reaching out to people who:
1) Don’t normally attend church
2) Are looking for something fresh and new and/or
3) Are looking for a community based on faith, not on preserving a building.

We also believe in authentic worship experiences.

We currently have a Monday night Bible Study via Zoom.  We are looking at adding a couple more in the near future.
